A lot has gone on this month. Several deaths in our church family and one of my good friends lost his son in a tragedy. I have a heavy heart for all involved. I have been to several funerals and I was always told to be sure and go to your friends funeral so they will go to yours. We finally got some rain and we got it in abundance. My pond is way overflowing and now have a lake in backyard area. It is also exciting to have Jessica pregnant with a baby boy, this will be a special experience for us. I am sure we will adapt quickly. I have to go to a medical seminar this weekend so that usually is a mixed experience. It is not a lot of fun to travel as much anymore. It occurs at the same time of course as something else I would love to attend. Everybody else at home are dong well and mom baby sits all the time and is trying to find rental houses for some who want to get out of apartment living into a house. I enjoy working and feel it is working well and I am not mentally ready to retire and cut grass. I get anothr MRI to check on progress before long so keep us in your prayers. thank you. jim and Linda Hogin

We are off to a great start and so far great winter weather. Every good day is one less that can be bad in this limited period of weather. We receivred some great news at the christmas dinning room table that our daughter Jessica is now pregnant and should have some new little feet in August. I am doing well and recovered from hand surgery for a trigger thumb that needed to be fixed and is now nearly as good as new. My practice is slowly growing so I am less concerned that this will work out and if possible would like to do this for a few more years. All were home for Christmas so what a blessing. Kerry has a possible job with the Intergris network of hospitlals here wanting to set up an art therapy program. It is a work in progress as this is new and she has some time left to get her clinical hours for Calofornia license that she seems to want to have. Have a blessed year. I hope to avoid a lot of medical expense this year and stay on a lot of good suppliments. I still have great ones on my web site at drhogin.com. jim and linda

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. All is well here and praying the big snowstorm goes north and misses us. We went through that mess last year with lot of drifts and blowing snow. It took a long time to dig out. We are doing well and the Oncologist released me and said call me if needed. It is 6 years and I feel a cure. Thank you for your prayers and please continue. I am sure enjoying the two grandchildren, we were told that would be the case and it is true. I had hand surgery lst week for a tendon injury and it is slowly coming around and trying to make the best at work. all should be home for Christmas and that is what every parent wants. God bless all of you and continue to pray. jim and linda

Merry Christmas to all and many blessings. It has been a great fall and now winter. It is a very busy Christmas rush but all is good. I was released by the Oncologist as she siad call me if you need me now. That is good as I am 6 years out and I believe cured. Please don't quit saying a prayer now and then or consistently if possible. I injured my left hand in an accident and had to have hand surgery last week and it is slowly healing and I am trying to work around it to best of my ability. We are wisely staying home for Holidays and I hope all the kids can get home. Christmas is always so much better with everyone here. Work is still good at my current newer location and much less stressful. My daughter Kim works here as well as my assistant and receptionist. God bless you. Jim and Linda Hogin

GRANDKIDS ARE GREAT

Fall is here but boy do we need rain in Oklahoma. Still a significant drought. We sue do enjoy the grandkids Elley and Praislynn. Linda get to keep Praise dailyin AM and she is a joy and 10 months old so a real crawler. Life is good and lots of thins need repairing. It seems like everyuthing always seems to break or need repair at once. Lots of expense and sometime wonder where it is going to come from. work is too slow and if doesn't pick up I may be on the hunt and I sure hope not. I have been working to winteize the house and get things ready. Caulking everthing and some concrete and asphalt repair. Never lacking something to do with an acreage. I still have some cows I share with my neighbor and it hs been hard to get hay or food for them in general. We took 3 to stockyards the other day to get some money and reduce the herd. It is becoming moe work than pleasure but it is a oy for my neighbor and he is good with them and grew up on a dairy. I know little and he has taught me what I do know. I need prayers for wisdom and for practice to pick up. God bless you. jim and linda

It has been more exciting than one can stand with all the tornadoes in the Midwest. It started with hitting nearby states and I had to call and check on friends. The othe day the weather people where calling this the perfect storm for tornados to erupt. They were right and our area of the country got hit pretty hard. This time we were spared with only 1 tree down as opposted to 1999 where we had lots of damage. My heart still goes out and mourns for those as I know what they are going through. The power went out and we stationed observers on front and back porch and at different times saw 4 tornados tht we could see and fortunately they all lifted or went differrent directions. Still our city was hit and we joined the growing list of places hit hard this Spring. We finally got some rain and our pond is finally full. Work is good and slowly growing and got to spend some lake time over the Memorial day Holiday. Still taking a lot of suppliments and trying hard to take care of myself. Family is good and one daugher to get married this summer. Thanks for protecting prayers they are working. jim and linda

Good Progress and won't quit

It has been a week and a half since out of the Heart Hospital for the two samll clots and the pneumonai. I feel good and off all antibiotics now. I was started on the usual blood thinner Coumadin and was prepared to go taht route. It inferfers with everything and eating good and can't take most any suppliment. I had a wise Cardiologist who suggested a new medicine tht was not approved here yet but used in Europe for this. It is call Pradaxa and now I take it and can eat what I want and eat healthy salads and take all my suppliments. It requires no moniters and take two pills daily. Like all these things be careful of injury or wounds so I have to be a good boy and calm down. I see the lung doctor tomorrow and he will be somewhat surprised but I don't care and this approach is good for me. so much for following the doctors routine advice rather than individualiziing to patient. This too will pass. Jim Hogin May 11, 2011

great new adventure

I am loving my new location at the Back and Posture Clinic doing natural medicine, osteopathic therapies in general office work. This has been good being closer to home and not too far from my old office. Much less stress and some time for myself and family. It is close to everything I do so I can run errands when things are quiet and live a little as well. I and my family are well and continue to get better. I had a wonderful surprise party for me last year that was so special as it was my 5 year anniversary of the brain tumor and a great sign of a cure. I believe that is the case and i continue to take a lot of good supplimens that help immune and fight cancer. I have worked to get good at this type of practice and enjoying helping people to fight with natural therapies to aid the rest of treatments. Things go better with the combination approach. My website has great products at drhogin.com and super quality. All os looking up and family well , up and coming marrage of daughter Jessica and mom busy with grandchildren. God bless those who have prayed and encouraged. Now that I have found out how to get back on site I will do much better job of updating since I don't do facebook or those things. I am not techy enough. Dr Jim andLinda

New job and beginning April 18,2011

It has been along time since being able to figure out how to get back here. I moved back to South Oklahoma City and am workiing with two fine doctors at the Back and Posture Clinic doing Osteopathic medicine, natural medicine and some general medicine. This has been nice being close to home and not the 75 mile round trip I had to previous clinic in Harah Oklahoma.Lots happening in our lives. The new praxctice is slow but nice and a grat place to do and learn what I really enjoy doing. Linda is now doing well after a car accident and PT. It totaled her car but she is back to normal. She is busy with our grandchildren Elley and Praiselyn, moms Jessica and Kylie. Jessica is engaged to be maried and we are all happy and all the planning is in progress. The Lord is good to us and takes care of our needs, I am planning on working a few moe years at least and it looks like that will happpen as 4 days ago had another MRI that was normal, as normal s mine can get. That is always such a relief. The study is over at UCLA and I have not been back for over 1 year. I jsut checked with them and they don't plan on further follow up. So I continue to work hard and take lots of good suppliments. I have a great website for suppliments that I offer to patients and you at drhogin.com. Hope to get some lake time this summer. jhogin
